HTML Compressor | Remove Extra Space from Your HTML
Reduce the size of HTML markup by stripping out characters that are not needed by the browser. Keep the essential structure while making the source more compact.
HTML Compressor: Master Your Workflow
HTML can get surprisingly bulky, especially after a page has been edited several times. Extra spaces, blank lines, indentation, and other bits of formatting are helpful while writing code, but they do not usually matter to the browser.
An HTML Compressor trims away some of that unnecessary material and produces a more compact version of the markup. The result may look less pleasant to a person reading the source, but the file itself can be smaller.
This can be useful before putting a website online, particularly when there are many HTML pages or large documents involved. It can also make a handy difference when files are being transferred or stored repeatedly.
There is a small trade-off, though. Readable HTML and compressed HTML serve different purposes. It is usually better to keep an original, well-formatted copy for future editing and create the compressed version separately.
Compression should also be tested afterward. Poorly configured minification can cause problems with unusual markup, comments, inline scripts, or whitespace-sensitive content. A smaller file is helpful, but keeping the page working correctly should always come first.
